Saturday, May 10th
Do you have “the corner” in your home? You know the one – tucked in your basement, garage, a closet, a shed. The spot that it filled with half-used paint cans, motor oils, and other hazardous items you’ve been meaning to clean out but have never quite gotten to. Or does it feel too daunting to figure out what to do with those items that you know aren’t probably safe to put in the regular trash?
Mark Saturday, May 10 on your calendar as the day to get “the corner” cleaned out! Anderson Development, in partnership with Wacker Chemical, will be hosting the annual household hazardous waste from 8 a.m.-noon that day in Adrian at 1415 E Michigan St.
This event free of charge all Lenawee County residents, and proof of residency may be required. This event is not for commercial businesses, and the max amount a resident can bring is 10 gallons. No container should be larger than five gallons, and do not mix chemicals – it is not safe to do so!
The first 100 vehicles to drop of household hazardous waste will receive a coupon for one free flower hanging basket, which can be obtained at the Stubnitz Environmental.
Accepted materials include:
PAINT: Oil based paint, cleaners, and thinners. Includes aerosols, adhesives, roof tar, and driveway sealers.
